I am changing my front shocks and have a couple of questions.

1) The front springs didn't have clamps on them, is this normal as the spring can't pop out of its seat because of the shock ?

2) Some of the turret ring bolts just spin because there's no pressure on them from underneath, any tips/ tricks on undoing/ doing them up ?

3) It is Terrafirma Pro-sport +2" shocks I am fitting, when fitting the nut at the bottom of the shock I can't wind it in anywhere near far enough to squash the rubber doughnuts as small as the originals as the stud on the bottom of the shock is touching the axle now. Anyone else have this problem ?

Cheers

Yes

they should be welded to the turret ring. cut em off and fit new turret rings.

Have ya thought that the old bushes might have been buggered and the new ones less likely to squash as far??

I think if they had compressed more due to wear & tear then the nuts wouldn't be tight on them which they were.

Would it be OK to put spacers on the spring side to keep the stud further away from the axle ?

Cheers
