When I bought the car 2 weeks ago (14 plate), I didn't check the central locking so didn't notice the passenger front door would lock but not un lock. So I ordered a new actuator for £26 and fitted it today. A couple of Youtube videos helped but not totally as certain things weren't covered. Like getting the window clips off the lifting brackets and unclipping the handle cables(x2). I found taking the handle and actuator off still attached to each other a lot easier than trying to unclip inside the door. This only took 10 minutes and helped enormously. There is a danger of breaking the retaining clips working in the confines of the door too. I could probably do one in about an hour now I know what goes where and how. Next weeks job is to get the Haldex unit cleaned and oil/filter changed. As at 70k miles and a Land Rover service history I doubt it has been touched
