from RHD to LHD

you'd need, entire new steering rack, steering box, most of the stuff in the engine bay would have to be moved, lhd bulkhead and dashboard, move the pedals and connected systems, brake system would have to be entirely re-routed. and thats the start!

On a serious note, converting from RHD to LHD shouldnt be that much of a problem.
You see, the dash board on a 200 is almost a straight swap over, the minor cosmetic issue could be glossed over and you could stick a LHD dash trim.
Now the steering box could be transfered to the left, face it the right way so it connects to the steering shaft and then align it with the holes which are already on the frame pass extra long bolts thru with appropriate pipes with plates welded on them tighten it well and the rods that connect the wheels, you can cut and weld as long as a good welding job is done, I dont see why it shouldnt work.
Ok, dont this is just the theory of a person who is getting frustrated with searching for a LHD box for his 95 3 door Tdi.
Anyway, I will take it to Africa and do it there, probably will find a LHD box there as well.
But, hey a day trip to France might solve the problem.
