Hey fellow landyo's :)

have just joined your forum following my recent purchase of an old 2 l diesel freelander due to some kind fellow hot-wiring my MX5 :/

Have always wanted a 4x4 so am very pleased with my new wheels... but we are only just getting to know one another...

Due to me a landy virgin ! There are lots of things I am keen to learn so I'm sure I have come to the right place....

I wanted to kick off with a few basics which you'll all probably know and hopefully will be so kind as to guide your new comrade...

OK... So

Number 1. Does my 1999 2 L Diesel Freelander have a fuel light that will come on to tell me I am low on diesel ??

Having only just purchased the vehicle I have yet to see what she can do - and have really been driving about town. The fuel gage is a little jumpy - so I can't really tell whats left in the tank.

I have reset the milage trip so I can get a rough idea and recently put in 35 pounds of diesel.

So 2....

I know its a not an exact science due to the differing variables - but could anyone give me a rough estimate of how many miles I would get for about 35 pounds of diesel just driving about town ???

Also - my interior lights between driver and passenger do not come on when doors are closed and I activate them manually. Although the back seat one does. Is this easy to rectify ?

And lastly - unless im being a complete silly girl  - the wing mirrors don't fold in do they ? Is it possible to change them for some that do and if so... is this expensive.

Ok - that's for now ;) I hope I haven't caused too much eye rolling ;)

I am young... but I will learn !

Look forward to your landy wisdom
