right this is a bit complicated but here we go!
I've got a 1999 freelander it's been ok (recently at least) until a few weeks ago the engine started getting very hot. I kinda thought it may be the thermostat so I drained the coolant pulled off the bottom hose and attempted to get the thermostat cover off.
it has been fitted with 3 tork bolts (why?) this is so god dam difficult it's unreal.
I am using a decent tork kit but there's hardly enough room to get in, in order to get them undone.
I have a couple of questions
1 is the thermostat diagnosis correct?
2 any tips on getting the dam thing off (thermostat cover)
thanks
