It'll tell you in your wokshop manual. If you don't have one, then you probably don't do your own repairs, & your local exhaust centre will tell you. Me, I'd take 30 seconds out of my hectic schedule & get down & have a look underneath..................................................................................

well the problem is im not at home to look underneath it and not gunna be till after xmas so thought ide ask a simple question for a simple answer

"The exhaust system consists of four sections: the front pipe, the catalytic convertor, the intermediate pipe, the tailpipe and main silencer box"
so it would appear there is only one silencer on the Td4, which hangs down very low at the back, ready to dig in at a moments notice when off road. The bit in the middle which looks like a small silencer is in fact the catalytic convertor
