Freelander Electrics ???????????????

Help needed My freelander 2001 V6 has got a couple of electrical faults that i can't seem to work out.
When you turn on the wipers you have to wait for between 1 and 2 minutes for them to work ?
Also the central locking has just stopped working on the nearside rear door it will lock but it doesn't unlock ?

Anybody got any ideas ???

The rear door is the easier one. Each lock has two motors (for want of a better word), in your case you've lost a motor. I think its new lock time.

The wiper issue... Well, I'd start with the switch but I'm kind of thinking its failing brushes in the motor also. There is no 'delay' built into the system that I know of.
