Hi all
I am new to Landyzone and am looking for assistance here as I am not getting much help from an equivalent Australian forum. I own a 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 SE that I purchased new.

I did not go with the entertainment pack when I purchased, but decided instead to install a Chinese after-market navigation system back in 2013. This has caused me endless problems with volume levels, reverse camera and bluetooth not working while in navigation mode, and eventually GPS identification issues. I decided to purchase an updated version of a similar product from another Chinese supplier, but cannot install the new product due to incorrect wiring harness supplied - product was advertised as suitable for 2008 to current Freelander 2, harness is for 2011 to current. The seller is not responding to my messages, so I have to look elsewhere for a solution.

My question is can anyone tell me if the wiring configuration on the standard audio in the Freelander 2 is the same for both the pre-2010 and post-2010 models. The pre-2010 has a smaller red/black plug (DSC-4870.jpg), while the post-2010 has a grey plug. The harness provided with the unit purchased is as shown in DSC-4860.jpg.

Thanks in advance

I can only state what I have been informed in other web searches.

To make it clearer to understand my problem, I have attached a picture of the audio unit installed in my Freelander 2. This then connects with the plug shown in the original picture DSC_4870.

Ah ok makes a little more sense potentially

Yours is the low line head unit and they discontinued this around 2010/11

How technical are you as you could pin out the connectors and swap over to the older style on your existing harness?
