Hi, just fitted a clutch master cylinder from John Craddock and when pushing the pedal down to bleed the system the pedal does not return. On removing it I have found the piston stays at the bottom of the bore and does not return as if there is no spring inside? The old ( but knackered) luk cylinder plunger returns when released after being pushed. Am I right in thinking the cylinder is faulty? On the second fitting and the same thing happening I used my toe to try and lift the pedal, this has resulted in the plunger / rod pulling out from the new cylinder so is now probably wrecked . Any advice would be great. Thanks.

1 : Never bleed system in any case.
2 : For the slave and master Luk or LR, nothing else.
