freelander 1 auto gearbox problem

Hi all
can anyone help with auto gearbox fault on freelander 1 TD4 2002, after having replaced oil pump and torque converter it now slips trying to go into third gear, 1st 2nd and reverse are good Vic
 
did you change the plate rings or measure their thickness, and also did you check the top hat piston for hairline cracks?
