Ta! The best thing is the poor bloke didn't have a clue when it came to sorting the misfire etc out & has
just gone mental trying *anything* that would sort it. He has done the whole of the ignition system, the
dizzy inc, it's got a new just about everything & I'm reading the bills now. £400 for a new upper
tailgate 3 months ago!!!!!!! £350 for a cat1 alarm! The misfire will be sorted out (hopefully, as
everything else has been replaced) with a new ECU just the job I live near a large 4x4 breakers who
happen to have the actual ECU innstock for £90 with 30 day warranty!

The bloke has spent a couple of grand (I have the bills!!) on this car & I got it for £900, he may have
the last laugh, but I own a gun so I doubt it! With the RRC it's all about colour too, this is a ****ing
bad colour!

Do you know where the previous owner puchased the upper tailgate you

I know. I've got an old saab. It's a 1984 with 170k miles on it, and
its very tidy looking externally and internally, and all the underbits
are all now solid and painted. (the gearbox is about to blow up, but
ignoring that fact! :)

When i want to get rid of it, it's probably gonna work out financially
more beneficial to me to break it and sell the parts (and scrap the
metalwork) than it is to sell it as a complete car!

Crazy really! I couldn't do it to a really tidy car!

This Trooper I just sold is nearly in concours condition, the bloke turned up & couldn't believe it was
so old! (12 years)

I love my Subaru to bits, but there's something about old cars that I love, mind you having one as your
daily transport (doing 30k+ miles a year) can be a little wearing!!

I've got a Triumph Herald I want to get rid of. It has no age prefix
on the number plate and a poor chassis and door bottoms but i reckon
I'd get more if I broke it and sold the bits. Shame really but needs
must and I can now appreciate why it's done.

I dont really want to either :( I dont have the heart! (and this is
the car ive owned for the longest period ever!. I'm kinda attached to
it!). I'll probably end up buying a scrapper for £20 off ebay and
swapping the engine and g/box! (I reckon i can do it in a day now!)

My car is about 20, and doesnt really look that old!

I've been doing 200-300miles or so a week in this saab for the last
year or so, without problems. Its also my youngest car! :)

My dad bought a herald about 6 months ago. He asked me to go round and
weld some small patches on the footwells for him.
It took me about 3 days eventually, after he took the carpets out for
me to weld, and we noticed how the whole of the floor in the back was
just about ready to fall out!

It is quite funny how it had failed its mot for a tiny rust hole that
happenend to be near to the suspension, but not the rust that would
have caused any passengers who sat in the to be in imminent danger of
falling through the floor onto the road!
