Foundry 4x4 poor service

I had previously read good things about Foundry 4x4, but I am not impressed with their current attemp at providing a service.
I ordered a boot floor for my D1 that firstly arrived 2 days late, forcing me to arrange for someone to be at home for collection on a further 2 days.
When it arrived, the box was damaged, poor protection, so subsequently the Edges of the floor were badly damaged and would have required beating back into shape, all the powder coat peeled off.
I did not accept a part refund, instead asking for a replacement item. This arrived a day later than agreed, so another day wasted for someone being at home to collect. Oh, they did send a courier to collect the damaged item, but failed to organise the delivery of the second item at the same time.
Today the replacement part arrived and no surprises, more damage, but not as bad as the first delivery. I will still need to straighten bent bits, loosing all the powder coat.
Some may say I am nit picking, but if a jobs with doing, then it should be done properly. I did after all pay for an un damaged item.
I certainly won't buy from them again.

you mean the black coating? that's usually just to protect it a bit from rusting. you are meant to rub it down and paint it up.

also, you'll need to grind an inch back anyway to weld it.

but yep, it should arrive undamaged!
 
Have you contacted them after the replacement part arrived? It sounds like they're having courier issues that need addressing.

Only fair to give them the chance to come good imo

I have sent them photos of the replacement part exclaiming my disappointment. I won't be sending the repacement back as my D1 has been off the road long enough now.
They have admitted that this particular courier is letting them down, but I did mention bubble wrap to them, which they poorly attempted to comply with to mitigate the problem a second time. Unfortunately they didn't think it through and bolster all the edges up, instead wrapping 1 sheet of small gauge bubble wrap loosely around the whole item. It's not rocket science.
 
Just up the road from me , really good bunch of boys .Sorry to hear about your troubles,Nothing worse than receiving damaged goods.
 
+1 on the courier, providing foundry packed it properly the couriers mishandling isn't their fault, how foundry sort it out will show what sort of an outfit they are.

Just received a part refund of £10 as an apology for the inconvenience caused, so "better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick" as the saying goes.
Hopefully they will resolve their distribution problems so that others don't have the same problem.
