footwell extensions

hey guys

has anybody ever extended the drivers foot well by 6" or so to give the driver a little leg room ?

the well itself is just bent sheet metal so no hardship there and the pipes and throttle cable can easally be done its the steering im a little concerned about ! its to late tonight to see how and where the box is exactly mounted but am i gonna have trouble

or could i move the steering box as well and make the wheel a little closer to the screen there should be room !!

so has it been done ?

sounds good idea to me, will look on mine tomorrow, am sure it can be done with a little fiddling

i'm 6'6" tall and i don't have a leg room issue,why make work for yourself?

Suppose it depends whether your height is in your legs or your torso, yours must be in your torso. my two sons have same issue as pobby long legs, I on the other hand had to lower my seat as me head was hitting the roof lining.

i have trouble in the lower legs and find it uncomfy on the ankles when driving my seat is as far back as is possible so i gotta get it somewhere

What about moving the rear bulk head back further so you can move the seat back more?
That would give more leg room...

it must be in me legs,i have a 36" inside leg

troublewith moving back bulk head is that is a camper and if i go that way i not gonna get everything in there
lets face it there is room under the wings we are only taking 6" or so or maybe just a reshape

will have to see
