fitted snorkel and tick over seems faster ?

Hi, fitted a genuine safari snorkel today to my 300tdi defender and i am sure that tick over has increased ??

It might be me but ??

Remove it and see if the tickover goes back to normal.

As the airbox is on the same side of the engine as the injector pump, are you sure you haven't knocked something when fitting it?
