I have a 57 plate 110 defender with the ford engine. The gearbox has been fine up until the other day when with no warning at all first gear stopped working. When you push it into gear it feels fine but let the clutch out and nothing happens! All the other gears work fine.
Has anyone else has this problem? Should I be trying to source a replacement or is there likely to be a fix?
