Im 16 and thinking about saving up for a first car, i would really like a defender 90 but im wondering 1) do they make good first cars and 2) cost for a 19 yr old to insure?

I had my defender as me first car i was 17 insured by NFU was what nearly 3years ago and paid just under 1500 quid![]()

It's different, but I would say to anybody thinking about one try it furst, heavy on fuel, not very nice to drive, uncomfortable, and most girls will run a fokin mile.
And it needs repaired all the time.
I dont think that they are every day cars, great for what they can do but day to day, dont think I could live with it going to work, and so on.
An aquired taste!!
I only use my disco for off road, it's a tank and drinks fuel.
