I have sorted my none working fuel gauge problem and turned out to be an earth wire tucked away behind the fuel filter, I removed it to gain better access to the wiring behind it and found the earth wire tucked away amongst the wiring, I must have forgotten about it when refitting the bulkhead or something when I replaced the. Chassis earlier this year Doh

It's always an earth, but satisfying to repair an electrical glitch.
