I have a 2001 TD4 and whilst driving around under little thottle the car is fine. However, if i put my foot to the floor and then pull up at a junction the car shakes/wobbles or idles roughly. My initial thoughts is its a faulty injector, although any advice to confirm that or other possible causes would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Sound like what mine was doing Turned out to be no 2 injector was spraying all over the place apart from where it should, on the bench test,

also have you checked the pipes going to the egr as these get clogged up. but from what you have described probley injectors.
if im wrong sombody will correct me :)

Try a good dose of injector cleaner thro' it first - cheapest option.
If that does not fix it then start looking for a more expensive fault.

Just bought also a bottle of "Diesel Master", according to the guy it works very well, cars which don't pass the MOT for exhaust problems get a crash treatment (a whole 500 ml bottle in one treat) but they afterwards pass the MOT with flying colors, so will try a double dose next time I fill up (talked about and bought it "after" I filled the car up:mad:). My car has only done 77.600 kms in 10 years time, which is very little for a Td4, so I hope to be doing some good in a preventive way.

Thanks all,

Much appreciated. I will throw in some injector cleaner and see how it goes.
If it is an injector how do i find out which one it is and is it an easy job to replace?

Thanks
