If i sell my Navara i'm thinking of part exchanging our 03 Freelander for a facelift version of the TD4S Sport is there any major things too look out for fault wise with these ??

If I have read that right, you already have a freelander so all the usual freelandery bits - viscous coupling (look for scrubbing on the rear tyres), knocking on tight corners, knocking under heavy braking/heavy acceleration, check all buttons/electrics/rearwindow works, whining from the IRD, clunking from the diff.

Other than that I dunno, ours is too old and it's a V6 not a TD4

Why do you want a Sport?
They ride a bit lower, so a bit less clearance, and the suspension is stiffer, I found the ride uncomfortably stiff (and I drive a Series III!) although I believe a lot of modern GTis etc are worse.
There is no difference in the performance.

Afternoon peeps, I'm looking at a sport as well, only because the majority of HSE's are out of my price range. We wont be doing proper off-roading, unless you count the state the state of the roads in Cheshire as agricultural.
Any advice welcome.
