Freelander 1 Extended roof rails

I want to fit extended roof rails to my Mk1 TD4 before another road trip through Span & Portugal - an expedition rack would be preferable but you guys all know the hens teeth they are....

I see there were LR optional extended roofbars for the early model which seem NLA now.

Are there alternatives, do the Mk2 rails fit the Mk1 for instance?
