expedition bush / suspension question

Is fitting HD coils and gas shockers along with comfort polybushes;

either clever (less harsh ride than HD everything, along with not having your springs and shockers disintegrating on corrugations)

or is it stupid (polybushes become the weakest link and self destruct)?

I want suspension that will stand up to a heavily laden vehicle pounding along unmetalled roads, without losing my teeth, biting my tongue off and crushing my spine and pelvis.

Comfort with hardwearing.

well your only going to mutilate your body in that way if you drive around with it empty... which it sounds like your not doing. so that should be ok. i think the bushes will cope. the springs will take most of the weight from the vehicle anyway so the bushes, in theory, wont have anymore pressure on them than usual.
