Further to recent post about fuel consumption and not being able to pin down the cause so far I've noticed something else which hopefully some diesel head may be able to help with.

Under load and starting, the exhaust will spit oil/soot/water/diesel over the back of the garage wall. I say all of the above because I can't be sure exactly what combination it is. Too me it looks like soot/water because the particles look like what can only be described as minuscule fried eggs with soot in the centre and water/oil ring round the edge.

Normal or has anyone else has this?

Water coolant is pink and crystal clear and oil has no water so not rings or gasket?

Possible Turbo bearing/seal?

Is the breather valve the one that loosely fits into the corner of the bridge intake and is only accessible under the plastic injector cover? Are these usually a problem?

Thanks all

Sounds normal if you rev it from cold, the water will be condensate from the exhaust.
The engine breather on pre EGR cars needs to be cleaned, it does block.

It won't be spitting diesel. Too much of that you would have black smoke. Try drilling a small hole on lowest point of main box. Old trick to drain water out of system. It will intitially be blown onto floor, but over time will auto drain as you drive.
