I've a view from both sides of the fence.
For the quick off the mark jobs the Disco is the last usually to go off the
bank. Bear in ming the others such as Mundanos, Omega, Volvo T5, Volvo XC's
BWM's and Jaguars amoungst many others on Traffic / Immediate response
units.
Then theres the Rural outpost Discos and 110's which generally are well
looked after by the staff who consider them a great perk to the outpost post
iyswim. Washed off most days if not shifts and due to the slower traits of
ruaral life lots less likely to be needed to scream around the lanes than
there Response unit counterparts.
They all probably get less of a hard thrape from cold than common garden
Discos. Envisage the late start into rush hour motorway traffic for Civvy
Discos.
The mere fact it's ex police will mean it will command a much lower price so
purchase wise you get alot more for your money..... usually about 10 holes
in the roof and a dashboard riddled with abscent switches.
Dad had an Ex police Rangie. Main problems were electrical related after the
mirriad of gadgets had been unlovingly removed such as motorway floodlights
etc etc. Other than that and the usuall engine hickups it was a good motor.
