Hi,

Would anyone happen to have the wiring diagram for the Eureka Immobiliser (98 Discovery Petrol) that replaced the spider? It failed on me a few weeks ago and turned out to be a loose connection that needed soldering. Main Dealer charged me £200+, a two day wait and a 3 hour train journey for this privilege as I was stuck 100 miles from home.

Three days ago I had the same symptom. This time I was at home so thought I would look myself. The wiring patch they did was not very impressive. On top of that I can not see where the wire should go as I only see one end of the fix. Strangely the other side of the connector is cut too. It's almost as if the exposed wire is redundant. So if any kind person happens to have a wiring diagram for this immobiliser (or for the spider?) I may be able to fix/bypass although it is on the car side of the connector not the immobiliser.

Worst case is I wait until next week and speak the manufacturer. Having spoken to them before I am pretty sure they will email me details.

Thanks,

Marcus

I have a 1996 workshop manual, but it doesn't seem to have any wiring diagrams. (Nor does my Disco 2 manual). Presumably the dealers are just supposed to plug in new components nowadays? Sorry can't help.

Thanks. There is a module that will by pass the spider system (AMR4956) but I am unsure if it will work on the Eureka as a couple of wires are skipping the connector. I'll see if the stealership is open tomorrow...

Well it's fixed. The module did the trick. No more Eureka/spider. After putting it all back together I found out the radio is no longer working. So some point soon I will strip it all down again and see which wire I probably pulled out. Cheers.
