Good evening everyone just need abit of advice tried starting my landy the other day she failed to turn over got my neighbor to have a look at it as I'm still learning what is what and he fixed the problem there was no spark then all of a sudden there was spark. Anyways next day no spark lol!! no spark to any spark plug!! I got a voltmeter out one to the wire connected to the coil and one to points and measured the reading which was nothing then I relised when I took the dizzy cap off off rotor arm wasn't seated properly!! I put it all back together and tried starting her and she runs lovely !! just a little misfire problem which I have now and then when she cold :/ right what I would like to ask is can the rotor arm in the dizzy jump out of its correct position because my neighbor swears he put it in there right

not unless the rotor arm is foobared as it should be a nice tight fit with a sort of clunk down when sat properly but still shouldnt jump off to such an extent

Yeah at the moment fitting in there lovely lol it defo wasn't seated right well see what happens in a few days

If the rotor arm wasn't properly seated it might have damaged the contacts inside the cap - might be worth replacing them both 'cos they aint expensive.
