I am ready to perform my first DIY oil change on my Freelander 2002 TD4. I have a haines manual but the diagram does not seem to match for the engine cover. I cant locate any more than two bolts at the reat and two screws at the front to remove the engine cover. Can anyone please help me by describing the easy way to remove this cover. Thanks Steve.

I assume you mean the under tray that goes under the engine, as the top cover doesn't need removing to carry out an oil change:

see post 4 in this thread:

if it is the top cover, then three allen bolts across the front, and two at the back on each corner, down over the back of the cover. don't run the engine without the front left allen bolt in, as oil will spurt out.

good luck
