Disco 2 ENGINE COVER CAPTIVE NUT

I am having to change the captive nut for the engine cover on the right hand side of the engine but can't remember which way round it goes. Is it with the nut towards the engine (logical) or the other way round. Had the cover strapped on with a cable tie for the last 12 months. D2

Nut should be on the engine side so that when you tighten the cover bolt it pulls it tight against the support bracket.
If it was the other way around you'd be able to pull it off the bracket !
