electric seat

I have a range rover classic vogue se. i cant get the drivers electric seat to work they are memory seats the wing mirrrors srill work of the drivers seat controls heated seat still works but the seat wont move . can anybody help? cheers andy

I have had this same problem in the past, remove the switches from the top of the control box (they just pull off but are tight fit) prise off the cover with a very small screwdriver, be carfull as the tabs that keep the lid in place are very brittle. Spray some contact cleaner into the seat switch and work backwards and forwards lots of times you can use wd40 sparingly if you do not have contact cleaner.

To eliminate any wiring fault swop over the switch from the other seat if this does not work.
