Just a small tip for us poor thick fingered people trying to put bolts into hard to get to places,
Eg:- MAP sensor bolt with manifold in place.
Cut a small cross on the middle of a little piece of thin plastic with a sharp knife, put bolt through bolt hole then push the plastic over the bolt just a little. The plastic holds the bolt in the hole, mount the item and tighten.
This can only be used where the plastic won't do any harm and You need to be sure the plastic won't be in a hot environment or in a place where it could cause problems.
This idea has probably been thought of and posted before but I'm new here and haven't searched to see if it has been. Anyway I hope this can be useful to others.

Surely you don't need to nip the nut up tight before taking the cardboard off?

Isn't it just to hold the boo so you can get the nut on, even if it's a few threads only, before tightening?
Yeah it's just to hold it but if you can't pull the plastic off thin plastic can be left on in some situations.
I lost skin off my thumb getting my MAP sensor back into place on my TD4 without trying to get my plastic owf.
