Hi all,
Been fitting my new Pod Lights 2day.....all going great but i am stuck with where to attach the RED & BLUE wire up near the steering column!!? Have followed the instructions the best i can, decided to use the wiring loom that was provided, on the diagram it shows to take off the cowling above the steering wheel.....& from what i can make out the single Red & Blue are then clipped onto the approp wires....everything else is done (lights fitted/switch above fuses etc) but i am just stuck on this part.....

Any help/pics greatly appreciated........

Only two wires :eek:

Do you have a circuit diagram :confused:

No wiring diagram, the Land Rover kit comes with 'drawings' only.....no written instructions, it is basically just 'plug & play' apart from this last bit which requires breaking into the wiring loom that plugs into the Headlight stalk....the wiring loom that comes with the kit has a relay built in so no fiddling about with relays at the fuse box.....the drawings have a section for the red/black wire for the Australian market where they slot into the actual headlight connector BUT the GB version has them being just crimped with a snap fit connector into the actual wiring..........hence my problem as its not very clear which wires to attach to....

So near but so far:confused::confused:

All fitted & working/looking good:) Only thing is they can be switched on/off without the ignition/headlamps being switched on.....would have preffered for the power to go off when the lights or ignition is switched off:(

As i mentioned the diagram has the 2 remaining wires from the supplied loom being crimped onto 2 seperate wires that are part of the headlight stalk loom (makes sense) so i am wondering if i could alter it correctly so the Driving Lights will only work when the headlamps are on.

Have searched for some sort of wiring diagram that indicates what the diff wires (approx 8) operate at the stalk but nothing.....if any one can help great.....

Cheers

When I put a bonnet pod on my disco I just cut into the main beam bulb wire under the bonnet and put a switch on it in the cab.That way they only come on with the main beam and can be left off completely if needed.

Just to add if this helps.86 on the relay just needs to be a switch live to activate the relay.so any headlight wire.no need to go to the stalk at all.
