Drivers Doors wont open

Have a 1993 Disco 1, just changed the outside drivers door handle. Replaced all linkages and servo unit, checked the door worked properly which it did. Then refitted battery. Closed the door and now it refuses to open. The key works and resets the central locking, all doors open except the drivers door. Wife is now getting fed up with me climbing all over her when i have to get out. I have not replaced the card so i have access to the inside.. ANY ideas how i can get the door open
