it could be that the compressor has had to work overtime to compensate for a leak somewhere which will be the next job (front struts too).

Its got too late for me to complete this, but will update once its back in the car with a new relay.

Hi and welcome to LZ,
Have you got any further in resolving your suspension issue as we need as many solutions on record as we can. I don't expect there is an L322 owner who hasn't had some EAS fault and if there is they best be prepared for one..!!! I'm on my second and they both had different issues, the first turned out to be a pin hole in one air bag and the latest had a totally duff pump so I tried the rebuild but it just highlighted another issue so ended up putting a new pump in as I am looking to keep the car for a while. Don't let this puzzle put you off. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

The problem is the stick is so short that the ****ty end ain’t that far away from the not so ****ty end

The front suspension airbag seals rotate with the strut and is a common leak point, which will burn/wear out a compressor, best poke around the front ones.

The Suspension system needed resetting. Checked the front bags and valves at the front with no leakages. was a case of resetting the system. Refurbing the compressor works really well now. Definatley advised rather than spending £150 on a used/recondition one! diagnostics was £35 to reset. Will be investing in a diagnostics kit.

Coulda reset it for free takes 2 minutes buy a plug in reset dongle off the bay

Everyone new seems to go in meltdown when they hear the bong of doom but unfortunately it’s an option Range Rover fitted which was not an option. Most faults can be fixed by the owner as long as they have diagnostics / Rave and the password to reach this site. Anybody know how to turn the bong off when the clock fetches the hour. At the moment I have a mini heart attack every hour for 39 secs

Not sure about the P38 but with the L322, the clock ping can be switched on, or off, on your dash display. I switched mine off years ago, as I was getting a nervous tic with mine going off Hope it's as simple for yourself

Will look this weekend but from memory I didn't see it when looking how to switch it off last month
