Hi All

Not been a discovery owner too long, but such luxury going about the farm in it compared to the series III, but finding in this freezing weather the door handles really freeze up and takes a good dose of de-icer to get them to open. When trying to free, can see the door panel flexing, while trying to get it to budge.

Any tips as to how to prevent this, as almost had to resort to getting the old man out and weeing over it, when i had been dropped off to pick it up in morning!

Regards

Thanks for the reTreworgey 90ply. Did wonder if som Vas may help. Will try and get it between were the handle splits to open, as that seems to be were ices up. Another use for the vasaline aswell as battery terminals!

Cheers.

WD40 in the locks and over the door catch will disperse the water from them, then silicone spray round the door rubber, do this oncce a week and jobs a good un:crazy_driver:

I wouldn't wee on it as this will then make it freeze up worse the next night. I had the same problem yesterday, the only door that would open was the back door, then had to climb over both sets of seats. doors would then open from inside but the handles were still frozen.
