I have a 1998 S reg 300 tdi XS and I need to cut the roof off.....have damaged the front half of the roof and need to sort it out.

Cutting off the complete roof and fitting another seems the only option....has anyone out there done this....what kind of job is it....any thoughts on the subject would be very welcome....

You say you need to "cut" is part of the support pillar damaged as well? If it is just the roof I think these are generally bolted to the support frame. Probably worth posting a photo to give a better idea.
