Hi all, I'm new to this forum and this Range Rover thing after buying a 2002 Range Rover last week. We'll use it to tow and for my work on and off building sites and it's a fantastic car giving us all the luxury and practicallity we need. It's a 2002 TD6 with 65K on the clock and in a good condition.

The only problem is during and after driving the car both me and the wife have a headache and get a feeling of dizzyness. If I've been driving for an hour or so it'll take about 30 minutes to go.

I know this sound really odd and we both can't believe it, but has any one else experienced something like this.?? Is it something to do with the suspension or am I being zapped by all the phone and other kit and we are both particularly sensitive to it.

I real do hope it's something we can fix, because the car is superb. Be grateful for your thoughts.

sounds a bit like carbon monoxide. unless you really arnt used to the ride it gives you. you could try the suspention on a different setting, of maybe just put one of those detectors in for carbon monoxide and see if it changes color/go's off.

maybe try driving with the windows open for an hour. then you have fresh air.

common fault is leaky heater cores and pipes. i've heard that the smell of coolant can give some folk headaches.

have a grope around the footwells fer soggy carpet

making you dizzy?! hmmm, i would say get a carbon monoxide detector like universally_challenged suggested, you can get em at Homebase, BnQ, focus and place like that or drive with the windows open and see if the same thing happens. Dont mess about though, I would def do something and make sure it isnt carbon monoxide. Was in the paper recently about how some old woman died from it, not nice, get it checked!

I think you're a bit nuts to drive it mate! Carbon monoxide poisoning can be very quick, and there's no smell. You could also have fuel or some other solven somehow entering the cabin space - through a drain hole or a hole in the vents. Get it checked asap before you nod off for a second and impact a 40-tonner at a closing speed of 140mph.

I get a headache anywhere I go with her indoors!does it happen when shes not there? maybe its her mines giving constant grief, youre going too fast,Too slow, what are you wearing bla bla bla try driving without her(only kidding hope you figure the problem out good luck)

i would go for the co thing too, or at least exhaust fumes! like said drive around with the window open and see if it dont happen, look for exhaust leaks maybe!
you got any vibrations you can feel? that may cause it too!

Just a thought but have you been using the air con, as this can cause headache untill you get use to it, first time our lass had a ride in a tractor with air con she had a bad head and a dry throat.
