posted something in general chat but though here would be the best place to put the question! does this sound a decent buy? i have to look for something more family orientated than a s111 with no real rear seats!

Manual, 78,000 miles, 12 months MOT, 3 months Tax, 78000 genuine miles, 7 seats, electric windows, remote central locking, original metallic blue paint, genuine Land Rover alloys, towbar with electrics, 200tdi sw going for £1595 its near to me so was interested what people think!

ta!

for that mileage if it is genuine (must be backed up with some hard evidence), then yes it is worth looking at.

Bear in mined that the back seats in a disco 1 are side facing so you'll not be able to use them for putting the kids in as they get older(new child seat regs say that they have to be front facing), ironically rear bench seats in a series III are legal because they don't have seat belts

that sounds resonable but you dont say what year the car is, that would be cheap for a 94 but dear for a 91!!!!! also bear in mind at that sort of miles although low you will soon need a new timing belt, also do all normal checks for rot that are on buying guides on here ,, good luck:)

its '93 and didnt know bout timing belt but have looked at the rot issues etc, thanks for the advice, be seeing it the wk end if it aint sold yet! One family car too so all service records available, just wish could get there sooner! thanks again!

Also try and remember, don't let your heart make your deciscion make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb.
There's some dodgy people out there!!!!

Yeah sounds a pretty good buy if it's all sound.
