Hi just wondered if I could have any help I posted a problem about my Landy not starting and had a few replies thanks. The first pic was taken in engine bay seems to be a small bore plastic tube with a curve at end I traced this back underneath and is connected to some sought of nipple which is the second pic .it had broke in two and the end of the pipe was blocked from dragging on floor I think. I cut this and reconnected it by using some small tube like it. She then turned over and fired up again so now I can get her to a garage but spent all day finding this and was just wondering what it is and what it does as am trying to start doing things to my Landy myself but am not a mechanic at all first motor I have ever opened a bonnet on so picking it up as I go. Thanks for any replies it's a 2007 110xs I think it's a 2.4

Thanks for reply. if that was bloked does it stop the Landy from starting then just seems little to stop the engine turning over

It's unrelated imho but I don't know if modern engine management is linked to breathers? But I very much doubt it.
