Do rear door hinges need greasing?

I took the rear door off the other day to weld in some reinforcements for the spare wheel carrier. In the process, one of the round bushings which go between the two halves of the door hinges rolled away and was never seen again.

Seeing as the bolts were a bit bent and rusty too, I decided to replace the lot. Before I go ahead and fit them, I wondered if the bushings needed greasing?
 
It may be a soft brass ball but can’t hurt to grease it. And I always grease mine. But even with that they seem to only last a few years before loosening to a point I am not happy and replace them again
