Discovery engine swap

Hi Guys

I've just been offerd a 95 disco 300 tdi minus its engin and box after looking for a engine and box i cant belive the price dfferance between 200 and 300 lumps and boxes my question is can you put a 200tdi and box in a 300tdi with out to much hassle or should i keep looking for 300 bits i want to use this disco for off roading and dont want to wreck our 98 disco that we already have
any help would be gratefull

engines usually only get taken out when the body is too shagged, you'd be better off looking for a complete 200 me thinks

this 300 is realy tidy the guy took the lump and box out to put in a s reg disco he had as he said it was cheaper to buy a running disco from the auctions as it was to get a lump and box from a breaker everything seem in good order on what is left seem a shame to break it

if your lucky enough to find a suitable engine cheap enough then it might be worth the time doing, but as yer man told you it's cheaper to buy a complete runner
