discovery alarm sounding for no reason

Half past one saturday morning and the alarm went off ie horn sounding constant which is damn loud!Whatever i did with the key fob made no difference so i just disconnected the battery.Tried it again today,the vehicle started and then shortly did the same
Its a 2002(51 plate)td5 disco,anyone with any ideas?
