Discovery 300tdi c.v joint

Hi all just joined forum been a landy owner for a few years anyone had troube getting the circlip on the end of the c.v joint. It just doesn't come out far enough tried putting a bolt in the end and pulling and driving it around in circles to settle everything no joy gunna strip it back down tomorrow if i got no joy in the morning.
