discovery 3 (will suspension raise without engine running)

Hi to all , I am trying to get a discovery 3 to raise to inspect under the engine. it has not been moved for
6 months engine won't start any ideas how to raise

You cant, engine needs to be running.
Why not just jack it up and stick it on axle stands?

thanks for the quick reply..the tow bar was only 4" from the floor would not go onto the trailer on a angle... but now vehicle is raised without engine running... thanks again..andy
