New gearbox now fitted by MD.
First impression is that it is much better although a bit notchy, but thats
because its new I guess.
I will run it for say 500 miles and then see.
So after a lot of emailing (over 20)between me and the MD, a number of very
long phone calls with the MD owner, 2 very good phone calls with Trading
Standards, 1 phone call to my solicitor, one phone call to Land Rover
Customer Care (the least useful of them all) and hours of research online
regarding The Sale of Goods Act 1979, Small Claims Court etc. it is all
over.
Now, I am lucky as I have the time and some knowledge to get this sort of
thing sorted out, although as I am self employed it has probably cost me a
few hundred pounds, I wonder how a less informed punter would fair, who has
no internet.
