Disco 1 Discovery 1 - 3 door

Evening lads and lasses,

I’ve been offered the below Discovery for sale, she’s been stored for last few years but it’s unmolested, non sunroof model, pretty much rot free aside from a couple of scabs on the rear safari windows, chassis is mint.

It has had the engine rebuilt 3 years ago after an issue with the expansion tank and subsequent head gasket issue, so it’s not perfect, but should be ok. Floors look solid and I know it spent a lot of time in Italy caravanning. Mileage wise It’s on 125k

Obviously it’s the 300tdi and an auto.

He’s offered it to me for £2500, any got any thoughts on the price if it’s too much or what? I’ve been out of the Land Rover game for 10+ years so I’m a bit clueless now.

Well there are many who spend 2-3 thousand on buying just a chassis with upwards of 5k fitted so I don't see how it couldn't be a good buy. You can get them cheaper but unmolested 3 doors are few and far between.

Give him £2k that leaves a bit of money to sort the head out.

Bit like my D1, it sat in dry storage for many years.
What year is it, it looks very clean.
I think it's easily worth the asking price.

It’s worth double the asking if it’s as it’s claimed but I don’t actually believe any are rust free. Maybe I’m a pessimist.

I’d still say 2k cash though
