Well, £280 later, with a new £50 sender unit, the disco is back. just need to Re-mot it tomorrow then i can proper drive it!
Now for the warning, If you've ever needed some rear welding work or if its lookin a little thin at the back, take a lookie at the crossmember at the front of the fuel tank. I wish i'd taken a piccie, it was shot and was rotting the inner rails too. I think water had got in it too considering where it went.
obv if you care about your disco you'd be lookin at these anyway
