disco transfer temp warning light

Disco 200 1994 auto, can anybody shed a little light. The transfer box
temp warning light is staying on, have checked and topped up oil, light
went out for a while then came back on, sometimes it flickers.

On my 300 TDi auto the temp indicator is for the Auto box and the switch is
located low down behind the rad, consequently it got water in it which
shorted it out. Check it out and squirt it with silicon.
