Hi all,
fitted a 2" lift kit made by britpart to a friends disco today, all went well but hes on the phone every 5 minutes moaning about the handling, i also noticed it leans toward the drivers side now which it didnt do before, i have definately got the springs the right way round, rears on the rear and fronts on the front, one thing i did find was that they are not handed though and there is no height difference as there is with original springs, has anyone else fitted this kit and had this problem, i told him the lean was because it needed to settle lol but the handling is very bad.

I read somewhere on a landy forum recently someone had the same problem (cant remmber which forum or brand) with a 2" lift kit. It turned out an entire batch was sent by the manufacturer to the independant suppliers with the wrong shocks. When the independant supplier checked all the kits that batch had the wrong matched parts in it . The guy got his money back.

Maybe worth checking up on this/

The only other time I have seen what you describe was when I did my own disco when we got the springs the wrong way round but you say you have checked this.

If its sits lower chances are it may be unstable better to remove and return to make sure

Or, as pointed out to someone else on this forum recently, have you replaced the ARB's properly? Check it's fitted correctly all round ...

hi, thanks for the help guys, i managed to do the job without removing the anti roll bars and also the springs were not marked in respect to where they should go, they were in boxes marked front and rear but nothing to state anywhere what side they should go on which i thought was strange.

oh! eer! was that me by any chance? yes it was i'm a numpty:rolleyes: :beer2:

check the rear anti-roll bar is seated properly!
it's really easy to get it wrong like i did:rolleyes:

check which way the joints sit between the axle and the bar it's self,

they should both be below the axle.
