Hi All,

This has probably been answered loads of time already but hopefully somebody can answer my question.

Is the Disco 4 built on the same chassis as a range rover sport. I was told it was but not 100% sure grateful for any help.

Thanks

Grayo

Thanks for the reply. So does that mean they are the same ???
Turns out I was talking ****e, ignore me :D
It's the new (L405) range rover that is monocoque, the Disco 4 and RRS have a different setup ('integrated body frame' mounted on a ladder frame chassis). The other halfs uncle works for LR, I can ask the question if nobody else knows!

d3s and d4 have 2 chassis a lader chassis like a defender and a monocouque like a normal car. these are then bolted together. i dont know about the rangie but it does not have the same monocouque chassis as the d4 and d3 as youd be able to see a similarity between the door pillars and windscreen, roof

Thanks for the replys lads, still no definate answer yet thou. I can't see what difference the body shells would make as I would have thought each could be fitted.

In land rover word magazine. The article on bowler,Mr Bolwer does say both disco 4 and rr sport share same chassis.

Thanks for all the answers lads. This begs the question now if or more than likely when I choose to buy either a disco 2.7 or range rover 2.7, which one would you go for. I love the range rover and if I'm being honest that is the one I'll be going for but I also like the disco and having the option of 7 seats would be a great help. Price wise there's not a lot of difference the disco being slightly cheaper on comparison. So what would you go for Disco or RR. ???

Ps I also tow a large caravan.
