Thanks. I'll let you know how it goes after a decent run. Can't believe I've actually rebuilt an engine haha in the smallest of spaces ever. Still waiting for the council to get back to me on my plans for the workshop shouldn't be too long now but the weather is gonna turn **** soon

Great thread, I'm about to (in the next 6 months) embark on the same mission. How much of a pain in the tits was it? were there any unforseen stumbling blocks? thanks LB

I have never done anything like this before, I brought the tools needed bit by bit before starting, wasn't too hard to be honest but I think the hardest part for me was replacing the real L shape seals on the rear bearing cap, had a nightmare with that but touch wood it doesn't leak. I didn't expect to come across a bent conrod either but I brought 2 piston and con rods second hand for 22 quid delivered, I honed the bores and stuck new rings in all 4 holes, she starts first time ever time, sound smooth, has plenty of power so im happy.
