disco 2 v8 engine rebuild

now we have sorted out if the v8 3.9 is the same as the 4.0 ltr.
can the heads and other parts be swapped around.
i was thinking of fitting a 3.9 in and using my heads off my 4.0 will these fit.
i know the crankcase sensor will have to be changed.
also will all the pumps alternator etc fit.

10-bolt heads will interchange, the basic block will take all of the fittings from early or late engines, but you need to have all the bits, you can't cherry-pick between ancillaries from different years, they all need to go on together.

The alloy sump is nicer, but you need a different set of bolts fot it.
